Hello all and welcome to Copper & Sage Vintage Style & Rental Co!

Thanks so much for stopping by! We’re so excited to share with you our collection and passion for event design. We hope to spark ideas, offer inspiration and help create the wedding or special event you’ve been dreaming of. But before we get into all that, let’s get to know each other shall we? Why don’t we start with our name. What IS in a name? Copper & Sage? Where did it come from? What does it all mean?

As the idea for the business was taking shape, one of the first questions was ‘but what do we call ourselves?’. Truth be told the naming process was quite challenging. It's scary to think of the implications of this one big decision. There were three things we knew we wanted our name to represent: #1 a definable brand, #2 something classic that could grow and evolve with the business and #3 be a representation of us and our clientele simultaneously.
We brainstormed for weeks. Evergreen, Dovetail, Rosewood and Circa were among some of our favorites. Still, nothing seemed quite right. In an effort to expand our creative thinking on the matter we began making lists. List after list. We listed out things like why were decided to start this business, what might our core values be, how we want to serve our future clients etc. Through this process it became clear that building and maintaining relationships were at the top of all those lists. Our apparent desire was to combine our own passions and then share those passions with others. At that point it seemed necessary that our name should allude to a partnership behind the brand. Enter the ampersand.

Another big part of our brand is centered around the fact that all our pieces are either made or found. There’s a pretty broad range in what we offer clients. From relaxed boho, to industrial chic to Victorian romance. Our collection of large and small items is always evolving and there is something for everyone. We take pride in mixing beautiful items from all different genres and time periods and using them together to create cohesive environments that are the stuff of dreams.
The last piece of the name game puzzle was incorporating our own personal style in some way. Something that sounded like us without screaming it. Then it hit us! What if we used a color from each of our own weddings! Brilliant! Going through both of our color pallets we decided on Copper & Sage. Contrasting the hard metallic sound of copper and the softer quality associated with the word sage we combined two seemingly different notions and making them a thing of beauty. Mixing and matching is our jam after all.
And there you have it! Copper & Sage was born! And though we do believe "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet" we’re glad that our rose looks of copper and smells of sage.
